I use it to get a huge veariety in tones...I didnt mess with it alot when I first got it, but now I tweak it all the time. I wish I would have a yeaar ago! It has sepeerate compression and distortion controls. Sound Quality: Great for any style of music. Really gives my HR Deville a sweet tone! Ease of Use: Pretty easy to use. Just takes some tweaking to get a tone you are looking for. Durability: I stomp on it! It can take a steam roller!(maybe not) I think it's very sturdy!

Reviewed on 2/7/02 by Chris Pinto (22045) Rating: It's a great idea for a pedal. I DO use the compression, but for me, the distortion is weak. Pretty weak in fact! Just another fuzzbox as far as I'm concerned. When I jam to 70's & classic rock music, I don't need any distortion pedals. My LANEY tube head is all that's needed for that 100% British sound! Nothing more but a bit of reverb. Model Year: 2002 Price: $74.99 (new) Where Obtained: Sam Ash Features: No tubes, 4 knobs, one footswitch, pretty sturdy. 9V battery or optional wall wart. "Anything I WISH it had?" Yeah, better distortion! Wasn't what I was looking for in a distortion pedal. I think there's too many distortion boxes out now that all sound the same. They all have that "fuzzbox" weak, type of distortion. Not really made for heavy metal. Which is unfortunate, because the idea of a distortion pedal teamed up with compression is a GREAT idea! More companies should do it! HOWEVER, the compression is very nice. Sound Quality: Use a Laney 1/2 stack, 3 Fender Strats, 1 Kramer Baretta, and a couple more guitars. I mostly play metal, but also LOVE playing blues, classic rock, and other styles as well. It's geared towards 60's & 70's "fuzz" sound. Very quiet pedal. Ease of Use: Very easy to use! Durability: Yeah, it's suitable for live gigs, it's durable, and all steel.
