Rating: There is a grab bag of strings at my local music store I can get strings 3set for 6.00. I have used alot of other strings because I never buy more than one set of the same kind out of there. I've probably bought 30 or more different types of strings there. D'Addario and Gibson strings consistantly come out on top. they sound good right up to the time they are worn out. it's like bam you can't get them tuned.
I would like to see flat wound version but then you would just end up with the same sacrafices of other flat wound strings. |

Features:
Set runs from .010 for high E to .047 for low E.( my limit is .050 at this end.
Nickle wound with 80/20 Bronze.
Color coded ball ends,I could live without this
fairly smooth for a round wound string |

Sound Quality:
Ii use them on an Ovation Acoustic -electric.
they get played through everything from a gurilla practice amp. to a p.a. sound system that I hear through Peavey floor monitors.
they have a fairly rich tone that sounds good with just about anything I want to play. a little country a little rock and a lot of worship songs. Not to high pitched for an acoustis although I'm pushing it.I actually prefer Gibson Spectrum strings for this Guitar. but there not worth the cost.for the price these are the strings of my choice. |
|
Durability:
They seem to last about a Month, these are the second longest lasting strings I've used on this guitar. #1 was a hex ground Half round thing that I used once. the sound paid the price for longjevity. I had those strings on my Guitar for two months when I finally took them off simply because I couldn't stand it anymore. I can push these to 6 or 7 weeks but then my drummer starts complaining. |

Rating: Nothing too special. They're pretty good strings that shouldn't let you down, but don't pay as much as I did for them. |

Features:
Features? They're nickel-wound pieces of steel with color-coded ball ends. What kind of features can they have?!? :) |
|
Sound Quality:
I play all types of music, and they sounded nice with all of them. They've got a nice 'twang for blues, and they sound good with distortion. My one gripe is that the higher strings are very hard to bend as you get closer to the 24th fret. |
|
Durability:
I went through two sets before trying out other strings, and both held up well for about a month. I have a very hard picking style, so this is probably good. |

Rating: I purchased these because they are relatively inexpensive and I have had good luck with them in the past.
I give them a 4-rating overall because I believe any product as highly advertised and endorsed as this one is also highly overpriced. |

Features:
Light gauge. Color-coded ball ended steel strings for electric guitar. I have no complaints. |
|
Sound Quality:
Played on Yamaha Pacifica through a practice amp. I'm not good enough to comment on what styles these strings are best-suited, but they suit me fine for practice.
They sound terrific to my ears. After replacing an old set of generic strings with these, I couldn't put the guitar down. |
|
Durability:
They lose that brand new brightness after about 2-3 days, but that's when I like them best. I don't really like the brand-new sound. After that initial break-in period, they're good for a few weeks. Maybe a month. |
