Rage Against the Machine
by Rage Against the Machine ·

A terrific video for any Rage fan. The footage is awesome, and the quality is pretty good. There are some never-before-seen live performances, as well as really cool music videos. The coolest video is Bullet in the head, which is filmed "live...(more)

Uplift Mofo Party Plan
by Red Hot Chili Peppers ·

I think this was Hillel Slovak's last album before he passed away (kids, heroin is bad). This CD is loaded with the funky bass and crazy vocals the chili-peppers are famous for. Its one of their better albums.

Dunlop Bass Crybaby Wah
·

If you play bass and can't steal a wah from one of your guitar playing friends, get this. Its "special tweaking" is actually more than a gimmick. The price is great and will definetly "funkify" your playing.

Electric Guitar Basics
by Keith Wyatt ·

I got this book from a friend, and I must say it is the most avergage book I have ever read. It is not bad, it is not great. It has useful audio examples, nice graphics, and is suited for ultimate begginers. It uses both tab and sheet music, ...(more)

Guitar Player

One of the three big boys of guitar magazines. Has what most magazine web-sites has, backorder info, article snippets, and news. The design of the site is OK, but not as fancy as guitarworld or www.guitarmag.com. Maybe one day, guitar magazin...(more)

ZOOM 505 Multi-Effects Pedal
·

Its really cheap, sounds ok, and gives you ALOT of effects. The longer you own it, the less you like it because two things come into play. Sound quality and durability. One other thing, a 9v adapter is a must, because this thing gobbles AA ba...(more)

GuitarFx.com
·

The site has potential, but is kind of small now. The reviews are good and thoughtful, and the MP3's are a clever idea (and best way to really review a pedal).

Rust In Peace
by Megadeth ·

This album rules! It is as megadeath as you will get, and is one of the last true thrash albums they made. Its got awesome tracks like Hangar 18 (which is amazing live) and others. This is also one of the most popular megadeath albums, so meg...(more)

ESP LTD MH-300

This guitar has all the features of axes costing twice its price. Compare it to the Jackson Soloist and the Soloist may win, but the winner will walk home $1,300 poorer. The most amazing feature of this guitar is its price, which means people ...(more)

Ovation CC01 Celebrity Acoustic
·

Its a different kind of guitar, and has some good qualities as well as bad qualities. The sound is ok, but not as good as more expensive Jumbos or Dreadnaughts. The price is great, and its a good entry level instrument.

Led Zeppelin
by Led Zeppelin ·

This is a record any rock fan should already own. Younger rock fans should pick this one up. The bluesy, hard rock mix on this album is groundbreaking and works so well you'd think that they have been doing it for years.

Lyrics World

A very extensive collection of lyrics, but doesn't quite live up to its claims. Well Designed and a good starting point for searching for a specific song.

EMG HZ
·

This pickup really roars. It has a suprisingly nice clean sound, and a great blues sound. If you wanna play metal, this pickup is great. The EMG 81 or 85 has a more vintage tone, but costs a bit more than the HZ. If you were lucky enough to ...(more)

This site is great! Its well designed, pretty looking, and has audio examples of each effect! I wish other effects sites would use Dunlop as an example.

Boss MT-2 Metal Zone
·

Its a great pedal for metal heads, but no one else. The lack of versatility can be a good thing or a bad thing. This pedal is mega-distortion at your fingertips (or toe tips?) and its cheaper than a marshall stack.

Rogue Electric (.011-.054)
·

If you don't really care what you put on your guitar, get these. They are cheap, sound ok, and are semi-durable. The follow the Rogue tradition of poor craftmanship for a good price

Amazing album, must have taken Dreamtheater forever to make. Petrucci is awesome, and covers many styles of music in his songs and solos. The story is incredibly complex, and this album was not meant be played as background music. It will take...(more)

This is a great album for any metal head to own. Metallica definetly does metal right, and the twist they put on these old songs really works. Im sure that millions of kids now think that songs like "Am I Evil" or "Breadfan" were metallica ori...(more)
