  2. Riffs: How To Create And Play Great Guitar Riffs by Rikky Rooksby ·
A good instructional book that leads you through writing riffs by 30 different types. Where you go from there is up to you but it's a nice reference to keep around. Again, I like it because it suggests many areas for exploration.

  7. Back In Black by AC/DC ·
Throw away the cans of hairspray. Burn the "Oh, I feel so sorry for myself lyrics". Get rid of the mindless 200 bpm speed licks with no feeling. This album is true rock-n-roll in all it's guts n' glory.

  8. Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin ·
One of the best Rock albums of all time. Probably my favorite Zep album.

  9. Kill em All by Metallica ·
Definitely one of their very best. This album is all about one thing.. BALLS. This is the real thing - nothing like their newer stuff.
