  1. Ibanez Blazer Series ·
I looked at a lot of things, Gibson and Epi SG's, Squier and DeArmonds with humbuckers. I would buy another, or get parts to make something similar. This one has quality parts and woods. It needs refinishing to make it really beautiful.

  2. Gibson Sonex 180 Deluxe ·
Has a good sound at a good price. The worst thing is it is kind of heavy. This guitar could be a good first guitar for a player, and then they could keep it as a backup if they get an SG, Les Paul, Flying V..etc. or upgrade the parts for a cust...(more)

  3. Ibanez TS-10 Tubescreamer ·
This pedal has one of the best overdrive sounds I have heard in a pedal. (I think this and the Sansamp are the best pedal overdrives.) I would get another if it was lost or stolen. This model can usually be found at a cheaper price than the fab...(more)

  4. C B Labs Pocket Rock-it Standard ·
This is a very good sounding headphone amp. Has a slightly compressed high gain sound and a good overdrive, as well as clean. Very nice for practice or recording.

  5. Danelectro BLT Slap Echo ·
The best thing about it is that it makes a good reverb sound, its very quiet, and is fairly inexpensive.

  6. Peavey Studio Pro 50 ·
It works well if you like to use your overdrive/distortion pedal in front of the amp. On board distortion is not bad, but I like the more "maxed out" settings the best, and usually just use a TS-10. Lots of "bang for the buck".

  7. Harmony Stella ·
I have other better guitars, but this one is very handy to have hanging on the wall by the computer if I find something on the net I want to learn to play. It is also easy to play. It has a lot of wear on it, so if I scratch it is hard to tell! ...(more)

  8. Rocktek Chorus ·
It produces a nice chorus sound, and as a bonus, can get a good imitation of a Leslie cab. I actually use it more as a "Leslie" than as a chorus now.

  9. How To Write Songs On Guitar by Rikky Rooksby ·
This is a how to book for playing, writing, arranging and even recording, to some extent. Has lots of good examples of popular songs. Also has info on alternate tunings, slide, etc. No CD included. Covers lots of styles, pop/rock, grunge, punk....(more)

  10. Make Your Own Electric Guitar And Bass by Dennis Waring ·
This is a "how to" book on making a solid body guitar or bass from scratch. There are plans for a bolt on neck guitar and a neck through the body bass. With a little reworking of the drawings, you could make a neck through guitar, or a bolt on n...(more)

  11. Rogue DST-5 Distortion ·
I saw some good reviews on Harmonycentral, and was attracted by the low price as well! I also looked at the Boss DS-1, but it costs more. This one is almost as good. You can't gripe too much about its inadequacies at $20!! If it was $60 I would ...(more)

  12. Rogue RM 100A Mandolin ·
One thing that may be a drawback is the lack of an adjustable trussrod. I will have to be very careful not to expose it to extremes of heat or humidity. There are a couple small flaws in the finish, what looks small smudges in the clearcoat. I...(more)

  13. Fender Champ ·
It is a well made amp with a good sound. I would like to get another. I would love to have something like this that is about 50 watts, but a good sounding small amp can be miked to make it loud.

  14. Harmony Power Pal Practice Amp ·
If you can get it cheap and need a small amp for practice, its OK. I am lucky enough to have a thrift store in my town that will check out stuff to see if it works. I also got a Sanyo cassette deck there for $10. The input jacks are the "ON" sw...(more)

  15. Danelectro Hash Browns DJ-8 Flanger ·
I got this one mostly on price and sound. I would get another if went missing. I wish it were more verastile, and maybe had stereo outputs. Can't really knock it too much for $25,(used) probably the best pedal I have ever got for $25. Sounds bes...(more)

  16. Clapton's Guitar by Allen St. John ·
The author got a guitar made at the same time that Wayne Henderson was making Clapton's guitar. This book was interesting to me on a lot of levels. The book is has some good info on woodworking and guitar making as well. Here's a link to som...(more)

If you don't know that electricity can be deadly, if you don't know how to wire a patch cable, then perhaps this book is for you. There is very little in it that you won't find on the net, or, like making a cable, you can teach yourself. There ...(more)

  19. Fender Bullet Reverb ·
Wish it had a footswitch, and it would be really cool as a bigger amp, or a slightly smaller one with a better speaker. Speaker ext jack is a really good feature.. and the spring reverb is a nice surpise.. this must be before all the effects we...(more)

  20. Fender Squier Champ 15 ·
I am considering making a new cabinet for it and adding in a better speaker. I have a feeling this amp would sound a lot better with a 10 or 12 inch speaker of better quality than the little one thats in it. ( I also have a Bullet Reverb that ...(more)
