This is a excellent introduction to Freddie King. The album showcases both his smooth vocals and his amazing guitar playing. A must have for every guitarist.

  2. Speed Mechanics For Lead Guitar by Troy Stetina ·
This is the best book/cd I've seen to help you increase your speed. It's filled with exercises to develop both your right and left hand techniques. I would highly recommended it for intermediate or advanced players.

Good site with a lot of Slash info. My favorite part is the video section which has tons of short videos of Slash from concerts, interviews, etc...

  5. Beatles Guitar Techniques ·
This is a pretty good book that uses song exerpts to teach John, Paul, and George's styles. It would be better if it came with a cd so you could hear the guitar parts isolated.

  6. Seymour Duncan ·
The site now has audio examples of their pickups. All of the pickups are demonstrated by the same player with the same guitars, amps, and settings. They also sell cd's which contain all of the audio examples.

  7. Guitar World Magazine ·
<html> I used to love Guitar World, and I subscribed to it when it first came out. Now, the magazine seems to be geared more to teenagers who love the flavor-of-the-month or shock-rock bands. I only buy an issue every now and then when there i...(more)

  10. Jimi Hendrix Signature Licks (A Step-by-Step Breakdown Of His Guitar Styles And Techniques) ·
Great book/cd! As the previous review said, this is more of a transcription book/cd than an instructional book/cd, but for me, it's much easier to learn from this cd than from the original Hendrix cd. All of the transcriptions are played on th...(more)

  11. Complete Idiots Guide To Guitar by Frederick Noad ·
I got this book at the local library just to see if it was any good. Well, it wasn't. I didn't try to play any of the musical examples, but they are probably like the text of this book which is misleading and inaccurate. This book sucks!

I've been ordering from Musician's Friend for years, and have never had a problem. Also, their web site is pretty good and easy enough to navigate. They have a huge inventory, and the prices are much cheaper than most local music stores.

When I bought this amp, I was looking for a small, decent-sounding practice amp in the $100 range. The Pathfinder fit the bill nicely.
