  1. Yamaha CG190S ·
This is absolutely as good you can get in a mass produced classical guitar. I'd recommend this model to anyone fortunate enough to run across one in an auction, classified ad, or vintage instrument store. If it were lost or stolen, I'd have ...(more)

  2. Epiphone PR-100C ·
I bought this model because a cutaway acoustic widens my repertoire. Access to more frets provides the luxury of playing some songs that just can't be played on a typical dreadnnought. I have an American Standard Strat, but simply can't plug-in...(more)

  3. Epiphone PR400 Concert Guitar ·
There's not much selection in the under $300 concert guitar category, but this one's a keeper. It goes for $299 at the brick and mortar Mars Superstores. While I liked the playability of the store models that I tried, the price was not low eno...(more)

  4. Oscar Schmidt OG200 ·
I chose this guitar because it was dirt cheap, and the store model I checked out looked and felt substantial - like it could withstand hard use. Heck, mine didn't even make it out of the factory in working order. I prayed every night that this...(more)

  5. Alvarez PF90S ·
This guitar is part of the Alvarez Professional series, and it looks and sounds professional. I was very lucky to stumble onto this model while checking out all of the small bodied guitars at a local proprietor. Once I played it, I was hooked ...(more)

  6. Tacoma DM9 ·
I LOVE this guitar. I'm not usually a dreadnought kind of guy, but this one inspired serious GAS the minute I played it. I'd surely replace it if something happened to it. The only possible improvements to this guitar would be cosmetic, but t...(more)

  8. Martin D-15 ·
I chose this guitar because it's a Martin and lives up to the name - and because all the others were not and could not - and because it's the best bargain around. Buy it!

  9. Seagull S6+ Folk ·
The Folk is a splendid sounding and playing guitar that stands out in the price range. It's hard to imagine a better deal.

  10. Gibson J-45 ·
I wanted a J-45 for a LONG time before I landed this one. I'd definitely buy another if some disaster befell this one. EVERYBODY NEEDS A J-45!

  11. Guild GAD30-R ·
This is as fine of an OM guitar that one can find in the price range. If you're thinking about one - don't think about it -- Just BUY IT!

  12. Martin OMC-15E ·
This is an awesome little guitar - the kind that's very hard to put down once you pick it up.

  13. Silver Creek T-160 ·
The T-160 is such a bargain, I'm thinking about adding a rosewood Silver Creek guitar to the herd.

  14. Roadrunner Polyfoam Acoustic Guitar Case ·
I really like this type of guitar case because it's less cumbersome than than wood or thermoplastic yet still secure.

  15. Durango B-46 ·
For its price-range, it would be VERY hard to find any guitar that sounds, play, or looks this good. This guitar is a keeper!

  16. Silver Creek T-170 ·
The T-170 is every bit as good of a bargain as the T-160 I bought and reviewed on Whole Note back in May of this year (2008). Quite honestly, I like it a bit more because I'm a rosewood kind of guy.

  18. Gibson CJ-165 Maple ·
It's easy to carried away with a new-to-you guitar, but this guitar rocks! I've bonded with it so quickly that it is my favorite. I not only would buy another one if it were lost/stolen, but I also want a rosewood Cj-165 now.
