If you can get this for under $30, buy it. If not, pass on it.

They have really improved this site lately! I love the videos of the new product. They've always had a good site, and I like that you can access information about discontinued product, but the new additions make this one of my favorite sites.

  3. Fender Japan Stratocaster ·
The only weird thing about these is the pseudo-Kahler trem these come with. They're a little strange. Takes some getting used to.

  4. Fender Roc Pro 1000 Head With 4x12 Cabinet ·
I bought it because I got it cheap, but found that I really loved it, especially as a backup head. The tube-based distortion channels are great, and the footswitch is nice.

  5. Gibson Musical Instruments ·
Frankly, I'm very disappointed in Gibson's website. Poor showing of product, very little info about their amps, etc. When I was looking to buy an Epiphone amp, I found it much better to go to a dealer's site. And what's with the Kramer site? Ter...(more)

  6. Blues Rock Guitar Soloing by Mat Germain ·
A buddy just turned me on to 2 of Robben's videos, and they're fantastic! He goes through things very well, shows diagrams, and more importantly, gives interesting twists on scales, chords, and modes. Highly recommended.

  7. Redoctane Guitar Hero ·
Ya know, I was really down about this whole concept at first, but I've found it to have some benefits. One, it is turning a lot of kids on to real guitars. My student base has increased because of it. Music in schools needs a boost, and this is ...(more)

These guys have always done very well by me. I hesitate to support big conglomerates like this, and prefer to give my money to the hard working folks at the small mom-and-pop stores, but sometimes you just can't pass up the clearance deals MF ha...(more)

If this amp were stolen, I'd hunt the guy down and remove his spleen with a salad fork. And yes, I'd buy more. Crate, what were you thinking? Your amps have been garbage forever, you finally hit on a great concept that actually sounds fantastic....(more)

  10. DiMarzio PAF Pro ·
I know this p/u has fallen out of fashion since Steve Vai switched over to the Evolution, but I'm still addicted to them.

I'd like to try having one of my 2 pedals modded to see if that sweetens it up.

Still one of the better websires out there. They've had their own style of marketing nailed down for 30 years. Go on there and oreder the free DVD, it has a great interview with Steve Vai, and a really cool video of how they make their guitars.

Again, I said it about Gibson, a very poor website. Very little information, especially about the amps.

  16. Ibanez ·
Probably the most beneficial websites out there. They have wiring diagrams for every guiatr they've made in the lasy 20 years, printable and there for you. I would like to see better and larger images of the guitars, but the site is very easy to...(more)

I went on it, not that good. If you're an Ibanez player like me, there are far better places to go, like projectguitar.com, vai.com, or jemsite.com.

Yeah, it's a good website and all, but no pricing information. What would be the harm in listing MSRP? I had a hell of a time trying to find a price on the new express stuff.

  19. Lateralus by Tool ·
One of my favorite albums of all time. While there isn't the flash and technical prowess that some of you look for, the soundscapes painted by Adam Jones are to be respected and awed. This is the sound you get when you refuse endorsements, and e...(more)

  20. And Justice For All by Metallica ·
I agree, certainly the high point of Metallica's musicality. They've never quite matched the songwriting on this album, except with St. Anger. Two of their best albums, and two of the most poorly produced albums.
