To me it's all in how to attempt to extract the ideas out of your head. The best way to go about it is to try to get down single notes of the idea you hear. Then, once you know the progression using those single notes, you add in some chord enha...(more)

Just thought it would be a kind gesture to say "thank you Cinda" for keeping this place alive with all the awesome discussions you've started. I know you also want that 5000 points thing, but you have still brought about some incredible discussi...(more)

Hey Kevin, Thanks for the reply. So which Kahlers do you have, the ones with the roller wheels? I've actually had fairly decent results with those but you have to constantly have those wheels lubed as well as either a nut with graphite dust loa...(more)

Cinda: The "floating" thing you mention means the bar sits even with the body on all edges of the trem. The more even it is, the better it performs. This float also allows you to go as far pulling up on the bar as you can going down. If you flic...(more)

It didn't sound very humorous to me if you're reading from my end. The reason being, there's always some sort of challenge being thrown my way and I make it a point to never speak what I'm feeling unless I can back it up completely. I also woul...(more)

I would say that it allows you to express yourself better which gives you more confidence. It's like anything else really.....if you are not happy while doing something, you can't really enjoy it to the fullest, can you? I have a friend who lov...(more)

Fantasy factory? Ouch! Sorry for sharing. Cinda asked a question, I answered it honestly. Chris Pinto can vouche for me...I'm not a liar. I've been a signed artist since 1999 and have made a very comfortable living in this business. Having a ta...(more)

Never been a cat person, but I've figured out the best way to befriend them. I used to try and go out of my way to give them attention while over a friends house. This of course can lead to trouble because most cats dance to the beat of their ow...(more)

For sports cars, I love my Corvette's. Got an 01 Z06, just sold an 06 Z06 and I got a 2010 ZR1 on order. For luxury, I love my Lincoln Town car and my truck (well I call it a truck lol) is a Lincoln Navigator. No probs fitting any gear in there,...(more)

Cinda, keep in mind, the Floyd trem doesn't mean you have to be a shredder to have one. I've gotten so used to it, it's now a part of my style. I don't just use it for dive bombs, chirps or strange sounds....it's an awesome tool for vibrato on n...(more)

I'm with Randy on this one...both for me also. When the lyrics come first, the song seems to write itself. When the music comes first, I have to make sure there is a credible melody within the music before I even attempt to write words for it. M...(more)

I have an amp graveyard here....graveyard because I'm more into collecting them than actually using them these days. :) I use to lug around tube amp racks and I really don't miss that anymore. I found a great hybrid tube pre-amp that gives me ev...(more)

Cin, you're a posting machine! I love it! :) My take on it is a bit different. I think it's an awesome invention and depends how YOU the individual uses it. The issue that I DO have with the ipod is, the majority of the world is listening to mu...(more)

Cin, one other thing I wanted to mention. Though tube pre's can help with warmth, you want to be careful with them because they are coloring your material destructively. And, the VCR thing is really not a good method because the audio converters...(more)

Cinda, That -6dB you mentioned...make sure when you record something, you're getting at least that so your signals are hotter and you don't lose resolution. Too many people run under -6dB when they record to disc and then they normalize after. ...(more)

I'll probably open up a huge can of worms here with what I'm about to say, but I can't help how I feel. I can listen to everything in moderation, but some "styles" that I'll list are what raise the hair on the back of my neck. 1. Jazz: I've alw...(more)

You're quite welcome, Randy. This production stuff is what I know best, so for me it's like a breath of fresh air to share it in depth with people that are interested in hearing about it. :) Danny Danzi www.dannydanzi.com

To be honest Cinda, I'd be giving you a hypothesis if I commented here because I really don't know much about Satellite at all other than it sounds fantastic and you don't hear that compression artifact you hear on the radio as much. But I'll gi...(more)

Nick, remember this when searching out studios. They work for you man, you don't work for them. Also, and engineer is just an engineer at a studio unless you have asked/paid him to be the producer on your material. They should NEVER tell you wha...(more)
