I honestly think his best solo is "Right Now". Van Halen gets lots of praise for his solos (rightfully so), but geesh, just listen to the guy play rhythm! He is one of the best rock rhythm players ever! I have read interviews with him he claims ...(more)

I agree on the Maple strat & Tele as the way to go, I love it! Rosewood is nice, but there is something about the Maple that just makes me play better (anything that helps will be looked upon kindly)! Of course, like everything else, it is p...(more)

It has been a while since I bought a guitar amp (16 years!). I have played over 20 years, but the last 10 have been classical & acoustic style, but I'm joining up with some old friends for an exciting new project. As you can tell, ref to amp...(more)

I'm thinking of purchasing an acoustic electric 12 string. I want something nice; would prefer a cut away, but I don't want to take out a 2nd mortgage to afford it. any suggestions?

I highly recommend Boss, the DD-3, DD-5, or DD-6 are all excellent pedals. I usually recommend getting pedals on E-Bay, but I've noticed the used Boss pedals on there have been a bit pricey lately, running only $10-$20 cheaper than a new one, so...(more)

I would reccommend a Chorus Pedal, it will be the most versatile pedal you could have at this time, it will enhance your sound greatly.

You're a great bunch of folks! I just bid on a KORG MA30 on E-bay, & actually won the thing for $18! It's new, with manual, etc. I read lots of good reviews on it. I bid on it not expecting to win, but hey, it looks like I did. I'll let you ...(more)

I've not used one in quite a while. This will be for both personal use & teaching. I've noticed they're like everything else: changed quite a bit over the years. Any preferences? I'm looking in the $50 & under price range. I'm not at all...(more)

I agree with the comments immensely regarding tubes. However, I feel one area one must consider when purchasing any type of musical equipment is whether or not the product will stand the test of time. I agree that one's playing style, attack, et...(more)

A Fender Ultimate Chorus or Princeton would be a good choice as well as others mentioned. As you can tell from the responses, a Fender amp will probably be your best bet in obtaining your goal. However, do some research before buying one. Person...(more)

I've been looking into purchasing one of these, probably the 435 or 436 Cedar Top. Can anyone tell me about these? The reviews I've read have been top notch.
