Hey Randy, nice kit to build. I've built several Weber kits, one "Frankenamp" from collected parts, and modified old tube organ or PA amps for guitar, so feel free to ask for help. That Weber amp building forum is also a great source of help a...(more)

Hey Randy, nice work on the playing and production. Good use of all the tools involved I think, the BT sounds like it is also good quality. Mind sharing where you found it? Rick

My soul still hurts... I post this every year somewhere around this date, I hope you like it. Me and SRV The Blues is a reaction in my soul to music, and Stevie triggered that reaction better than anyone else I have ever heard. (Clapton's "Ha...(more)

No apologies needed man. I wouldn't say it's butchered, these are not easy changes, we've heard guys like BB and others make em' sound easy, but they are not, you really have to listen and disconnect from some of that 12bar muscle memory. Mine...(more)

Thanks for checking it out. I'd like to hear what other players come up with for these changes. I used BeatCraft for the drum loop, and Reaper to record and mix. I'm still using the built in soundcard, which is ok for AATs and my concept work...(more)

Ok, here's my current take on it. Sure is a lot of guitar, maybe I should edit it, add another instrument, and turn it into a real song, but this is what it is now. <div style="width:200px;border:solid #999999 1px;background-image:url("...(more)

Very nice as usual. I've also been on FB a bit at the insistence of family, heh. I posted a very simple bass and drum only 8bar AAT. Not very slick, but might be fun to jam with. Rick

Just the drums and bass, I may post a take later. Not your usual 12 bar, it has a couple of 6-2-5-1 turn-arounds and goes to a kind of bridge starting with the 4 chord a couple times. Not the greatest drum loop, but does make for some interesti...(more)

I've actually used the groove builder and sequencer here at wholenote as tools for charting out and learning tunes. Not real easy to use, but it works. Rick

Something that has helped me with timing and phrasing issues is to try and sing or "scat" a part vocally, and when it feels good, try to reproduce it with my guitar. Start simple and grow from there. Rick
