    Yeah, that makes two of us. I don't particularly care for most of Clapton's stuff either. Crossroads is good, Cream is good. I'm indifferent to the rest. It's just kind of..blah, for me.

    Anything with a diminished 5th. You could also play with minor chords, diminished..there are others in varying degrees. Hey, if you want something weird, mysterious-sounding, try writing out some atonal stuff.

    I would say he's more of a good (if you want to use that) songwriter than a good guitarist. If you have a good guitar player that totally shreds but his songs are weak, is this good? IMO a mediocre guitarist that can write really good songs is b...(more)
