    Hi, Archy, I don't think you actually have a problem. If you're bending a string it needs to go under the one next to it, so for the other string to slide up your nail is about the best it can do. Alan :-)

    Hi, It sounds like you're trying to bend with your finger almost flat on the string. Try fretting the string as you normally would for a single note, and rotating the hand more in the bend. Alan
