The reason i was thinking lap top, was i was at a gig and one of the duo's had a lap top just scrolled down to the required number and bam, perfect backing and sound.
That got me started.
He must have had six hundred tracks on it, sounded great....(more)

One point he made was that you don't have the flexibility of deleting certain grooves. which was a valid point i thought.

Six months today since sept 11
Don't worry the heroes are having a fat time in Sydney. Your "Downunder brothers" gave many of them a free all expenses paid trip to Sydney, and they are having a ball.

I went to buy a cable the other day and told the salesman i was going to get a lap top and do midi downloads etc. and run them thru my desk to the p.a.
he suggested i get a roland D2 groovebox much cheaper and more versatile.
