I think that speed is partly due to choice of notes, and I personally find that listening to notes played with large intervallic jumps between them sound faster than chromatics sometimes.

Hello
I think training with a metronome is the best way to get a 'feel' for rhythm.
However, I also think that listening to lots of recorded music and playing along can be a great way to get a sense of rhythm and timing too. After all, a me...(more)
