I write orchestral compositions as well and, as a composer, having "perfect pitch" has helped me very well, indeed. You can't always be hassled to carry an inconveniently large piano with you for when music comes to you on the go. :)

If you aren't worried about ruinning the guitars finish I always super glue them (provided it's a standard strat trem). It's Floyd Rose or nothing for me.

Though if he wrote a part that he couldn't play he wouldn't compromise the integrity of the song by trying to play it himself. He'd hire someone like Steve Vai to play it.

Theres a Frank Zappa song titled The Black Page which is so titled because the manuscript paper that he wrote it on was covered in so many "little black dots" that the paper appeared to be a black sheet.

I think it would depend on whether you want to plug it in to an amp or mic it. I always prefer to mic my acoustics so I would probably choose the single soundhole so that more of the sound reaches the mic.

Joe Bonamossa and Ted Nugent (not together) are at one of the clubs around here so often they may as well be the house bands. I'm not bragging. I wish this town would try something new. Ughh, just had to get that off my chest...

I was around 12 years old. I had a friend who played guitar and watching him, he seemed to have a lot of fun doing it. He was also "cool", whereas I was (and still am) very uncool. I thought I'd be more popular or something if I played guitar. T...(more)

Wish I was given $3,000 a month. I work 40 hours a week for my $1500 a month and support two children, myself, and pay the bills. AHGGG.
