   I would recomend getting a squier for a first guitar. They are cheap and will last a good bit of time.

   I own a GA-20 and I think it is similar to the CA-20. There should be a button on it that has a flat sign in it. If it does hit it twice so it will tune a whole step down and then go tune your guitar.

   I am not worried about price. Right now I am just looking feeback to see what other people recomend. I alredy have a 100watt combo and 300watt power amp so I am not planning to by another amp for a long time.

   I read somewhere, I think it was here at wholenote, that slant cabs give you a brighter tone then straight cabs. I have played through straight and slant cabs at music store and friends house. I dident here much of a diffence.

    I am looking for a distortion effect and I have narrowed it down to the Boss MT-2 metal zone or the rocktron gainiac pre-amp. Does anyone know which product has the most distortion and is good for music like slipknot,mudvayne,korn,staind.
