    When I get really frustrated with my music, I go play chess. I get so p---ed off at how bad I am at that game (and how hard I have to work at it, just to be bad) that I realize my music isn't all that bad.

    I don't know why, maybe it's just me... but Changing "worn out" strings helps me with sliding, bending, fretting, etc.

    I had a Univox bass once... A long time ago. Did ok for the garage bands I was in at the time.
