The best buying decision I ever made was to get a Simon and Patrick SP6. $300. Great, great masterpiece of a guitar. You'd have a hard time doing better even if you spent $2,000.

I can guarantee you that SRV and Slash listen(ed) to a lot more than just blues and rock. I've read as much, re SRV. Most great musicians have a very expansive palette. Mozart listen to folk music (the crass pop music of his day) and incorpora...(more)

Is any one person closed minded or just going through a phase. What we see of individuals in WN is just what they show us, and only for a limited portion of their lives. It is an essential part of growth to totally get wrapped up in a certain p...(more)

Do you want hamburger or porterhouse? Do you want water or a martini? Do you want vanilla ice cream or creme brulee? Do you want a sheet of white paper or a sawbuck? Comparing Bryan Adams to Sting is like comparing Tiny Tim to Bach. It isn't eve...(more)

The cover of "My Way" (penned by Paul Anka) was by Sid Vicious, not the Sex Pistols ... just FYI.

No free version for XP. Win98 and Mac OS 9.2 only. But if you get an MBox (under $500), an XP version of ProTools comes with it.

I have the S&P Cedar 6 -- fantastic guitar. Great, booming tone. It blows away many $2,000 to $4,000, name-brand guitars I've played. I don't have a problem at all with the action/playability.
