I suppose that given the original limitation of a total of 128 available sounds (arranged into 16 groups of 8), these ommisions become understandable.

Just as well it's a 4-string tenor banjo (in Irish tuning G-D-A-E) then!
I used to play a little 5-string bluegrass at school, but that was a few years ago now...

I think most (if not all) of my old Javascript code has been broken for some considerable time now, as browsers/standards have evolved over the last decade.

I would heartily recommend your investment in a classical guitar.
You have already identified several advantages.
Learning classical guitar pieces and music demand a classical guitar.

In the end, I defaulted and got none of the above; I bought the Roland Micro Cube which I think is a great bit of kit for it's size.
