thanks, unfortunately the cramped stage situation is beyond the space required by even a small amp, I don't think I could fit a pathfinder or a taxi up there by me, maybe a smaller roland cube, but that still seems unlikely. You wouldn't believe...(more)

Actually its kind of cool, one bass stays low, the other stays in the upper mids and does more flashy playing than just plunking one note. And there's not always 2, just when the original comes home from college, which was the case this past wee...(more)

No the amp is on stage. Lets see if i can paint a picture, or you could draw it out. Think of a rectangle, longer than tall. To the right put another rectangle from top of the first to the middle. The first box is the musician stage, the small...(more)

I've been playing at church a few weeks now. The problem is the stage is so small and there are so many of us, I have to stand 8-10 feet BEHIND my amp. I can't hear myself. Is there a cheap self-monitor solution? My amp is a Peavey bandit trans...(more)

Yep that answers it, although after I posted I realized peavey had the manual in pdf form. Their description is the amount of natural compression, ie; knob at 100% low natural comp, knob at 10% high natural comp. They don't say anything about th...(more)

Marshall makes, or made at least, something called a power brake. As far as I know it did what you want. I don't think it was a pedal, but it might be worth looking into.

I'd like to suggest a search ability on the MP3 section, by member, style, equipment used. The third would be particularly useful when searching for sound samples of pickups and effects. I'd like to see this for activebass.com as well.

Does anyone else have a problem with their browser auto redirecting them to sites they don't want? It doesn't seem to happen if I type in the page, but clicking on links is a gamble these days.

Is there any difference between setting up a bass and guitar? String height, fret buzz, neck relief, etc?

I didn't want to go to the trouble of modifiyng the body myself or paying for it to be done. I have been very interested in dimarzio, unfortunately the virtual blues is for strat and would probably require body modification, and the only neck mo...(more)

Hey thanks alan, I've looked at those but I don't think they cancel hum. My first guitar was humbuckers, I've gotten used to it, and now the hum from these single coils drives me crazy, so it doesn't get played that often. The desire for p90 ton...(more)

hi all, I'm looking for tele size pickups that cancel hum and sound like p90's for a cheapo tele knock-off. Oh, and it'd be nice if they were affordable!:) not rio grande, fralin, etc. if I can't find that, I'll probably go with dimarzio virtual...(more)

I'm wanting to get an interface for computer recording. I've looked at line6 toneport and behringer v-amp 2. My question is does v-amp 2 plug straight into pc for recording, or would I need another interface to use it? I know toneport will, but ...(more)
