The Why of It
Shhhhh. Can't let this get out...
but I play clarinet, not guitar.
So what is a non-guitar playing gal like me doing at a place like this? Well, I originally joined to assist with distributing WholeNote T-shirts and then just kinda stuck around. (For the record, I do have a guitar. I just never learned how to play it.)

Go ahead and ring the doorbell with your cursor.
I did this just for you.

Message for Today
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly,
Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.
"Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle"

THE SENILITY PRAYER
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.
'What is Success' by Bonnie Raitt

currently playing with the silver player above.)

Creative "Stuff"
Add-A-Slide-Show
That's where you take an AAT (Add-A-Track), mix it with an AAP (Add-A-Picture), shake it up with a nifty (free) little Microsoft program called Photo Story 3 and you end up with some nice AASS (Add-A-Slide-Show).
- Jim Heidinger started this whole thing with his 'Moonbeach Track over Big Sur'
(Track by Jim Heidinger and Kirk Lorange...photography and editing by Jim Heidinger)
- My first attempt was 'Jim's Slide into Rust'
(Track by Jim Heidinger...editing by Debra Jean)
- Here's the AASS Jim Heidinger asked me to create using the emotive solo he did after hearing of the Russian children killed and wounded in a terrorist attack on their school in 2004. All the pics are from that event.
'Tears For Your Children'
(Track by Jim Heidinger...editing by Debra Jean)
- Awww heck. Then I got my AASS 'Sent To My Corner' along with my buddy, Chuck.
(Track by Bob Chiefari and Bob Kent...editing by Debra Jean)
- And another AASS inspired by a track by Jim.
'Bad Sign'
(Track by Jim Heidinger...editing by Debra Jean)
- Chuck asked us not to forget about Katrina. 'Katrina - Then and Now'
(Track by Kansas Joe and Memphis Minnie...editing by Debra Jean)

My First Lesson
I recently ventured into the land of lessons by creating one of my own. I was trying to add a background to my Homepage using the HTML code I found in the Tutorials I usually used, but it wasn't working. So I went searching, figured it out, and thought I'd share what I found in Lesson #11175: HTML For Homepage Backgrounds.

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES,
NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING,
BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE
WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.
