The Music Never Stops

Where it all began...

As far back as I can remember I have had a love for music. I always considered myself an active listener. Not content to just let music remain the in the background, I always listened to music that challenged me emotionally. I remember back in 1983, at a Grateful Dead show at the Civic Center in Philadelphia, I was right in front of the stacks, when the band broke into an incredible Scarlet>Fire. This moment changed forever how I listened and experienced music. For the first time in my life, I was pulled right into "the zone". It was as if time and space ceased to exist-just the music! It surrounded me and transported me places that no drug could ever do. And yes I was sober. It was a little after that experience that I picked up the guitar.
