It's All About the Music

My Story with the Guitar

I have been playing guitar for about 17 years. When I first began playing guitar my father bought me a Washburn acoustic. I began to learn how to tune, change strings and become familiar with various parts of the guitar which would later, help me. When I began playing, it was hard for me to pick the strings. So, over the years I worked out various exercises that would involve several styles of picking. I purchased books on chords and began teaching myself. I am trying to prepare myself for the opportunity to play with other musicians. Like any other instrument, playing the gutiar has been a process of trial-and-error. Songwriting has always been something that came naturally to me, but I'm also fortunate enough to have a technique which helps me establish style and discipline. I think that every player has to have a certain technique to play and write music, especially discipline. Thanks for visiting my homepage and keep practicing.
