Always Learning
Thanks for stopping by! I'm Sean, I'm in my mid-30's, married, and have been playing on and off for about 18 years. Recently I ended a 2 year sabbatical from playing guitar, when I was recruited into joining a cover band. It's been quite an adventure learning 40 songs in a little over a month!

The band's name is Another Level and we play a lot through the South Texas/Gulf Coast Area, from Austin to Corpus and parts in-between. If you're in the area come check us out if you see us advertised. The style ranges from old 70's rock to 70-80's funk and R&B. Think everything from Steely Dan to Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind and Fire, and you might get the picture. The best compliment I overheard about our set, was when a guy walking into one of the clubs, asked the bouncer "What kind of music do they play?" The bouncer looked at him for a second trying to answer, and said..."Man, they play it all...I'm hearing things I haven't heard in 25 years!"

My gear is modest. I play a Black Fender Strat, I have an old ESP Prototype from my metal days, and I have a Mosrite Celebrity 3 Semi-Hollowbody. I don't even know what this thing is worth. If you have any ideas, please PM me.

I play through a Fender M-80 Combo Amp, with 2x12's.

I gig and run wireless through a Shure UT14 VHF Series Guitarist Wireless system! It's incredible!

As for effects, I shelved my Boss Me-30 which wasn't working outout in a live situation, and have acquired a few stomp boxes, and am using them with my 10 year old Sans Amp GT-2:

Ibanez Turbo Tubescreamer DX

SansAmp GT-2.

MXR Dyna Comp

MXR Phase 90 Phaser

Digitech X-Series DigiDelay

Digitech X-Series SynthWah

Powered by The Jim Dunlop DC Brick

The only other gear of note is my Boss DR-5 Dr. Rhythm Section machine.

Like to Help
I try to help others, because I remember the years when I was frustrated trying to get the music I felt and heard inside make it to the guitar!

I've published a few lessons from things I've learned over the years. I don't expect to publish many though, only if I think that a lesson is worthwhile and hopeful.

One of my hobbies is transcribing. I've learned so much from discovering songs note-for-note. You may find me responding to requests for help from other WholeNoter's from time to time.

It seems that I'm also prone to jump into the fray once in a while, I tend to stick my neck out and say what I think especially in instances where I see the appearance of disrespect or injustice. Just the way I am.
