Me
I am a private music instructor located in Avondale, Pennsylvania (outside of Philadelphia). I mainly teach guitar and drums, and have been playing music for 21 years. I graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a degree in film scoring.

My Musical Direction
When I started at Berklee I wanted to learn composition, and film scoring was a good way to learn to compose in many styles, with the added benefit that you might actually be able to make a living at it. During the summers I did some teaching, and when I finished at Berklee I started teaching again part-time. Four months out of school I had enough students to do it full-time, and I continued to teach for several years. I've taken the last year off to concentrate on writing and form a band, but I am now getting back into teaching.Click here to check out my web page where you can listen to samples of my music and read excerpts from my books. Main Guitars: Carvin DC747 7-string, Godin Artisan ST, 1962 Gibson acoustic, Takamine nylon-string Guitar Gear: Boss GT-5 effects processor through a Yamaha PA Main Drum Kits: 1976 Ludwig Vistalite 10-piece, Yamaha DTXpress electronic kit Main Bass: Washburn 6-string Synths: Roland XP-50, Waldorf MicroWave XT, Akai S6000 Non-musical influences/inspiration/interests: Psychology/psychiatry, novel writing, James Randi (www.randi.org), critical thinking, British comedies, role-playing games, disc golf, William Styron. "You--you will make no terms with the spirits of fire and earth and air and water. You have made the Darkness your enemy. We--we exchange civilities with the world beyond." - Yeats
