Rock on!
I knew I wanted to play guitar the minute I heard Judas Priest's "Sin After Sin" album back in the late 70's! My outlook on guitar playing has always been this: "Try to listen to everybody, even if they're not your favorite musician. You can ALWAYS learn something from them" Other Hobbies include Astronomy & astrophotography (Taking photos of planets & distant galaxies with my telescope and 35mm cameras), Old Cars (Street Rods), collecting guitars, cooking, AND kicking my cat off the living room furniture.

Way too many to list here, BUT, I'll give it a shot: Priest, Ozzy, Maiden, Blind Guardian, In Flames, Sinergy, Jag Panzer, Malmsteen, Rhoads, Symphony-X, Lacuna Coil, The Gathering, The Moors, King Diamond, Chic Korea, Yes, Clapton, Satriani, Vai, Alex Skolnick, Marty Friedman, Queensryche, Autumn Tears, Arcana, Mors Syphilitica, Children Of Bodom, and 300 other people & groups! :) I couldn't even begin to tell you my FAVORITE group, if I HAD to! I love everything from Classical, music of the 50's, 60's, 70's, Les Paul's music to the heaviest of Death Metal.
