My name is Geoff. I started my musical career playing drums for rock bands in high school and college, but I always wanted to learn the ol' six-string. I bought a Martin Mahogany Dreadnought the summer I graduated from college. I've been pickin' at it ever since. That was about four years ago.
I grew up listening to hard rock: Zeppelin, Van Halen, ACDC, The Who, Metallica, etc. I had a bunch o' hippy friends in high-school. I've been listenin' to the Dead ever since. I've branched out from there: Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, Phish, New Riders of the Purple Sage, etc.
Now I'll listen to just about anything.
I could always use a little help!!!
If your better than I am (and you probably are) I'd love any pointers you might have for fingerstyle guitar. I'm working my way through the lessons, but there's a truckload out there and I'm never sure where to begin. Peace!!!
