The beginnings of a journey
Hi there!! I am new to the guitar universe, but not to music. I have played percussion for over fifteen years and performed in choirs across the U.S. Learning the pleasures and pains (ow! So many blisters!) of this wonderful instrument has thus far provided me with many hours of education about myself and about what I want to express through my music. I'm not looking for fame or fortune. I would like to go as far as I can obtaining the skills to play. I would like to perhaps compose a little and maybe perform on a local level for my own pleasure and growth. What I get out of practicing each day: a new kind of muscle; focus; stamina; joy!!
What have you learned?
I would love to hear from others about their musical journeys. Tell me what you have gained personally from playing the guitar - no matter if you are a beginner or a master! No matter your discipline or your style, I want to hear from you. Thanks!
