Who - or what - am I?

I'm from Portugal and I saw day light for the first time in 1974 (well, probably it was hospital light, but you got the picture). I live in a city called Amadora right next to Lisbon and I happen to like it.
I have an inclination on simple things... Never liked that "1000 notes per second" kind of thing. I prefer a good simple solo with lots of feeling.
I don't consider myself a guitar player but just someone who has certain musical instincts...
Lots of people tell me that I'm not from this planet and I like to think that it's true...
Additional stuff

I started playing guitar in secondary school (in 1991) because, in that particular school, there was two kinds of people: the guitar players and the soccer players. I really do love soccer but I think I don't have that athletic attitude needed so I worked during Christmas holidays and got myself a nylon 6 string. Recently I bought a 50's Telecaster and I'm loving every single noise that it makes...
I play a bit of drums too... I started doing it during the late 2000 and I just love it!
I also recently went to India and bought a sitar. It's a great instrument but I'm still trying to catch its feeling...
I never paid any attention to music theory. All I wanted was to play, play, play! I regret that now... Today I'm trying to catch up on things and Wholenote is the ideal tool.
Fabulous site!

Besides guitar, I also like italian food, to sleep more than I actually need, The (old) Simpsons, computers, to look at the sky at night without any clouds and any lights around, digeridoos, to laugh about something funny I suddenly remembered, games, coffee, to drive my car, fireplaces, Seinfeld, to jam with friends, Douglas Adams books, rainy days at home, to sneeze, people that don't say stupid things often, strawberries and (of course) soccer...
Musical Influences
• Lots of stuff... I like reggae, blues, rock, soul, classic, jazz, punk... (and certain stuff I really cannot label).
• The Seattle scene really touched me deep because I was strumming my first chords when I first heard of it.
• Bradley Nowell, Hendrix (always unsuccessfully trying to sound like him), Frank Black, Radiohead, Lee Ranaldo, Jeff Buckley...
  Favorite Recordings
• Every album from Sublime and The Pixies
• "Blues" (Jimi Hendrix), "Grace" (Jeff Buckley), "OK Computer" & "Hail to the thief" (Radiohead)
• "Rhapsody in blue" (George Gershwin)
