Thanks to all
Hi my name is Bill and I'm 67 years young. I've been playing guitar as a hobby for 30 years or more. All I ever played however were the basic chords I learned when was 18 years old. So, I would play for awhile, get bored and then put it aside for months and once for years at a time. Last year I took lessons for a year and learned to play a lot of what I consider the more advanced chords which has greatly renwed my interest. Now, with the help of WholeNote I have gone back to the basics and I'm working on scales, intervals, diads triads and some theory. To be honest however, a litle bit of theory is all this abused brain can handle. My goal now is to learn to play a lttle lead. Although that seems a little remote right now. I really appreciate this site and the generosity of the many advanced musicians who have contributed to it. So, not wanting to slight any of the above mentioned, I'm not listing my favorite lessons, but the ones I am currently studying.
Moving on
If you do the math you will see that in 1958 I was 18 years old so needless to say my first musical interest was, and still is good old rock and roll. So of course my earliest influences were Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis, ect. ect. ect. However, My brain didn't stop growing in 1958. We have a couple hundred CD's by almost as many artist. I've listed but a few. Thanks again to everyone. Hope we talk sometime down the road.
