Sometimes you need to just be around people who suck at their instrument just as much as you, after giving a friend my bass guitar for christmas. I have had a new love for playing the guitar. Now I practice for an hour every day in hopes that one day me and my friend will both be in a band together. The good thing is that me and him started practicing around the same time. So instead of practicing with someone who is miles ahead of me and makes me think that I just dont have the ability. I practice with someone who is actually worse then me. It feels good to know that everyone starts the same... sucky!
The music I have enjoyed over the years.
I've always enjoyed listening to music. My earliest memories come from hearing Guns and Roses Paradise City and Mettalica Enter Sandman. I would sit on a couch and litterally bounce back and forth while listening to music. I've enjoyed a variety of bands over the years. Like The Offspring, Blink-182, Nirvana, Pantera, Korn, Powerman5000, Limp Bizkit, Styx, and alot more. My favorite cds growing up were in this order. Nirvana Nevermind, Blink-182 Dude Ranch, and Blink-182 Enema of the State. Nothing made me feel like Dude Ranch did, but I always had a soft spot in my heart for Nirvana. Nowadays, I look for music that has good guitars and a good message. Anything that I can practice really, and thats about it.
