Prepare Yourself...

I'm Chris. I've been playing guitar for 11 years now. I love to play guitar! Its my life. I practice 3-6 hours a day if I can. I play a 1983 Peavey Mystic. I won second place in the instrumental division in the franklin county talent contest 2007 and 2008. Its something I'm proud of. My biggest musical influence is Buckethead. My dad has been playing for 43 years now an I want his guitar!! A late 70's B.C. Rich Mockingbird Supreme. Pretty damn hefty guitar. My biggest musical influence besides my dad is Randy Rhoads. He's the reason I had the drive to play guitar so badly. His playing and musical influence just makes me want to do better and play more. I come from a musically talented family on both my moms side and my dads side. I'm a graduate of Oconto Falls High School. I like to listen to experimental, rock, hard rock, metal, classical, neo-classical, blues, jazz, soft rock, ambient, classic rock, but no country. Country sucks! But its not like I wont play it just for the musical knowledge. In my own personal opinion, I think every guitarist should try to learn every type of style out there! It will help you develope musically and help you find your place with the instrument. Some of my favorite guitarists include: Buckethead, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, Tom Morello, Herman Li, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Hazel, Paul Gilbert, Tony Iommi, Slash, Kirk Hammett, George Lynch, Jake E. Lee, BB King, Michael Angelo Batio, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Mark Morton, Will Adler, Dave Mustaine, Johnny Cash, Marty Friedman, Alexi Laiho...It goes on. To me, if you do something you love enough to do for free, thats something your probably willing to do for the rest of your life. (refering to guitar) I plan on going to Musicians Institute in california and get my masters degree in guitar. I wouldn't mind being a guitar teacher. I've already tought students at school, why not when I graduate also! :)
