Hello and welcome!!!
I am a 44 year old beginner at learning to play the guitar. I have wanted to learn all my life, as far back as I can remember, but just never took the time, what a waste. So now I am starting at the beginning, and have no intention of stopping. I recently went through surgery, had my right wrist reconstructed with a titanium replacement, and decided that if I am going to have to go through physical therapy, anyway, what could be better? I am looking forward to a lifetime of learning how to speak without words, and as my guitar instructor says...set my spirit free.
A little about me.
I was born on the West Coast of the United States, and due to 15 years of intoxication and bad decisions(and seventeen years of an alcohol/drug free lifestyle)I am now on the East Coast of the United States. I have survived addiction, cancer, heart problems, homelessness, depression, and a few other irrevelant conditions and believe that I am alive only through the works of something greater than myself. No sob story here, it was all necessary, and it leaves me with alot to say about the importance of those close to me, and the pain that it took to get me to open my eyes. I have decided that music is the way for me to say what I feel, think, and remember. So if you ever think things are too tough, that you can't take it anymore, never quit five minutes before the miracle, I know I won't. The list of musical influences below is to short, I would have to also include;Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Boston, The Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, Ted Nugent, Kansas, Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, Dave Mason, Deep Purple, Bob Seger, Eddie Kirkland and this is just a small list.
