Hi Im 53. I have every intention to grow old as disgracefully as possible.
I first got the taste for rock and blue's when my older brother bought home the Sticky finger's and let it bleed album's along with some Sabbath, Purple, Uriah Heep, Small Faces. I started to play air guitar before it was invented [I don't think I was the only one in the world either]. My record collection got massive! Every penny I had would go on record's. My air guitar skill's were the best in the world. Honest! Lol. I think I have seen most of the world's best blue's and rock dino's - Cream, Purple, Stone's, Skynyrd, Eagle's, Queen, Thin Lizzy, Dylan - the list goes on.
My lovely wife, Carol, bought me a budget classical guitar in the late 90's and I learned so many song's in the first 2 year's of owning that baby that I thought it was time to upgrade to a Epi Black Beauty 3 p/up's. What a fantastic guitar. Then Carol bought me a Washburn ds42. Lovely looking and lovely to play for when I want to chill. Then just over a year ago, Carol took me to our local music store and bought me my Californian Fat Strat in sienna sunburst and paid the extra for the pearloid plate. As you can immagine, I was rapped!
I am now in throw's of getting a band together. We have been practicing for about 3 month's. [I will keep you posted on our progress.]
The rest of my gear consist's of a Fender hot rod deluxe (the beast) Marshall mg50dfx, 20wt hohner panther, Bad monkey od ped, Vibrotrem ped, jackhammer, zoom 606, hundred's of damn pick's. Oh, and a harmonica in C I've had for year's and I stiil haven't learnt how to play. But I will! Watch this space. I am now on the look out for a decent tube combo at the right price. So any advice is gratefully graced.
I joined the Note last summer and thank's to every one at the Note, my playing has come on in leap's and bound's and I have made some fantastic friend's that I would love to meet [maybe one day]. You can visit me at

I work for Caterpillar, building and testing transmissions in one of Cat's assembly plant's here in my home town in Wolverhampton. It's not a bad job and they pay a reasonable crust.
