At Granville Island Music School we specialize in one-on-one instruction for all levels and ages of students on guitar, bass, drums, hand drums, piano, sax, vocals, and turn tables. Our turntable classes are in two categories, Mix class, where you learn how to blend "old school" with "new school" house and hip hop; and Scratch class where you learn all the tricks of real DJ spinning. We also offer recording classes for Reason, Protools and DJ remixing. An exciting class we teach is Rock School where students learn "the tricks of the trade" of true band rehearsing, writing and performance. Let's call it our own version of Jack Black's "School of Rock".
