Personal Statement

All private lessons are provided in my home recording studio (Arden Fair Area - Sacramento). I offer a unique approach that incorporates the recording environment & tools along with advanced ear training into lesson curriculum. The old adage 'Tape doesn't lie' applies here, and students reap the benefits of emphasis on 'sound' and learning music, theory, harmonic/rhythmic composition, improvisation and technique from the vantage point of 'hearing' and multitrack-multi-instrumental layering. This provides my students with a 'ready-for-the-real-world' foundation, enabling them to go out and perform in any situation. As each student is unique, with differing aspirations and goals, to begin, I establish a 'plan' and approach each lesson with my students own stated objectives/style preferences in mind. As a teacher, my focus is simple...RESULTS RULE! Here, my experience is my students insurance of rapid developement with a solid foundation in fundamental theory.
