Personal Statement

Many people are self taught, but this is a long and hard road. If you want to take a short cut and avoid some pot-holes, get a good teacher. A teacher's job is to observe and guide. Without that constant feedback, it's harder to make progress, especially in the beginning years. I teach playing technique, music reading and necessary theory, that can be applied to any style. With these disciplines under your belt, you will have the confidence and skills to adapt to and be expressive in any style that you choose.
