I have a rather unique approach to teaching and playing in many respects. Some of the areas that I place emphasis on are body alignment, economy of motion, and breathing (yes, it's actually important to guitar players!). Many of my ideas concerning how I approach music come through my tai chi chuan experience over the past five years. I've found that the principles of tai chi can be applied to playing and thinking about music in a way that greatly reduces the effort involved. And hey, who wants to work harder than they have to??
