Personal Statement

I believe that lessons must be tailor-made to suit the students' interests. I work with the student to create a plan and goals that are appropriate for each individual. My students range in age from six years old to 60 years old. Everyone is unique and students are treated that way. I always try to encourage personal expression through songwriting, composition and interpretation. I also feel it is important for the student to have a basic understanding of musical concepts. Therefore, I teach sightreading, theory and ear training.

Cancellation Policy

24 hours notice required for cancellation. I will allow a makeup the first time only.

Friday:	3pm to 8pm

Musical Influences

Everything from Andres Segovia and Julian Bream to Jim Hall, Django Reinhardt, Tal Farlow, John Coltrane to Chet Atkins to Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jane's Addiction and The Clash.

Performing Experience

2 touring alternative rock bands, solo performances, duos with a violinist or another guitarist, classical guitar ensemble and solo classical guitar performances.

Education & Training

I have studied rock and jazz with James Rohlehr, classical guitar with Michael Newman, and jazz with Stuart Klinger. I am also trained as a Suzuki guitar instructor.
