Musical Influences: Classical music, blues, latin, rock, hardrock/metal, pop, world music.
Performing Experience: I played in front of 2500 people when I was 16 years old..oh man, that was cool. Since then I've done hundreds of gigs with my band Treasure Land and other musicians.
Education & Training: I've been playing guitar since 1983, studied guitar for the Swedish jazz ace Ulf wakenius.
Personal Statement: My main goal when I'm teaching guitar is that I want the student to learn something that they can remember and expand upon on their own. I have a lot of students who want to learn how to play fast, sure I can teach that, but I want the student to learn why a fast lick sounds the way it does. And above all, no matter how fast a lick is played, if it's not played musically, it doesn't mean anything.
