Lesson Rates:

$20 per Hour. $12.50 per half hour lesson due to lesson preperation time.

Discounts:
|
Tertiary Students $10 for half hour lessons.
Family discount - save $2.50 for each extra hour ie. $20 for one hour teaching $37.50 for 2 and $55 for 3 hours.

Musical Influences:
|
Musical influences vary from Jimi Hendrix to Nirvana to Bob Marley to Joe Pass and Thelonius Monk. Listen to wide range of music but currently foccused on jazz and reggae.

Performing Experience:
|
I currently play in 4 bands - The Chch Youth Jazz Ensemble(Big Band), a 4 piece jazz standards band, a latin funk group and a rock covers band. All these bands are performanced based and play at various venues around town.

Education & Training:
|
Have played guitar since approx 1994/95 before that playing keyboard for two years. I am currently studying Natural Resource Engineering at University. Once I have completed my degree I plan on going to jazz school either in New Zealand or the States.

Personal Statement:
|
I believe in teaching in a manner that the student feels comfortable with, each student is an individual and has their own tastes. I adjust my lessons to suit the needs of each individual.
