I have been playing all types of bass for over 20 years and can help a player of any ability level to get a better understanding of any style of music and the role of the bass in that style. I teach theory and reading and insist on my students learning these 2 things. It is mandatory for my students to know theory and to be able to read-these 2 things are what the majority of my lessons are based on currently-advanced players who are able to read and have a very strong grasp of theory are able to work on styles, advanced reading & theory etc. I firmly believe in learning from the bottum up-it has worked for me and I am a professional musician and will be forever thanks to a very strong knowledge of theory and very strong reading ability.
