I have had some wonderful teachers that really shaped both my career and my life. I hope I'll have the same impact on a few of my students too. I try to teach a balanced course of theory, technique and then tie it all together with practical application. I stress ear training because I find that to be the biggest factor in a students sucess.

| Musical Influences | Miles Davis and all his bassists. Maceo Parker is a favorite. Of course Jaco, Marcus, Stanley, Victor, Chuck Rainey and a host of others in many styles. |
| Performing Experience | I have been the leader of a popular Dallas based group for over ten years. At the same time I sub for various groups around town. I've done a small amount of recording with local artists. I've played around 265 gigs a year for over 11 years. |
