Personal Statement

I teach on a case to case basis and do not force any particular style or technique on my students...if you can master the basics, everything else falls into place. I also believe that transcribing songs lends itself to developing your ear which is a valid part of learning, albeit it should not be the only teaching tool. I am a firm believer in making learning fun, because playijng music should be an enjoyable experience, not an effort in frustration. However, I also believe that there are things that you as a student must learn in order to progress, and while sometimes these studies aren't so much fun, I attempt to incorporate the "have-to's" with the "want-to's".
