Personal Statement

I teach the Guitar to beginners & intermediate players. I feel that many people do not get adequate teachers (or any teacher at all) when they first start and as a result, develop bad habits which later have to be corrected if the person is to play well. I like to make sure beginners do not develop such technical deficiencies. I will custom tailor lesson plans based on the students skill level, technical ability & knowledge. I want the student to feel comfortable playing the instrument & overall enjoy practicing & playing for themselves & others. The weekly lesson should not feel like "work" for the student. Playing should be fun for everyone. To this day I continue to explore new music & expand my own musical ambitions & encourage my students to do so too.
