Personal Statement

I encourage students to play whatever kind of music they're interested in. I also try to encourage students to learn the fundamentals of music so they can develop the skills to ultimately be their own teacher.

Teaching Details

Teaching Experience 20 Years
Teaching Location I am currently on the adjunct faculty at University of Massachusetts in Lowell. I can give lessons at my studio there or at my home studio. Also I do "house calls" for those who prefer to take lessons at home.
Lesson Rates 60 per Hour. I charge a little less at my own studio; a little more if it's a long drive to your home.
Discounts If you pay monthly I charge for four lessons. This way on months with five lessons days, the student gets a free lesson.
Cancellation Policy 24 hours notice required.

Friday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Musical Influences Early influences: Led Zeppelin, Clapton, Hendrix, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, etc. Current influences: Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, Pat Martino, Joe Pass, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane etc.
Performing Experience Currently with Lois Lane and The Daily Planets, an R & B group, and doing freelance jazz and blues in Boston Area. Performed on cruise ships, in theatre orchestras, with groups (Blueswagon, Hypnotic Clambake, Paul Comb's Pocket Big Band, and others).
Education & Training I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree from The New England Conservatory of Music (Concentration in Jazz Studies). Attended Berklee College of Music for 2 years. I have studied privately with Vic Juris, Eric Kloss, Mick Goodrick.
