Awesome amp...looked at some Crates...couldn't compare. This is a great buy if you want to upgrade your practicing like I did.
Model Year: 2004
Price: $200.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Features:
Clean/Crunch/Metal/Insane channels. Unique array of distortion capabilities. It's definately loud enough.
Sound Quality:
The sound is a little rough. The clean is not as chunky as I had hoped. It's very...crisp...which isn't bad. It's good for like twangy stuff...but not the chunky groove/reggae sound. The insane distortion is insane...perfect for heavy metal. The crunch is great for that '68 Marshall sound. But you should definately switch to the humbucker if you crank it up.
Ease of Use:
Very simple to use. The instruction manual is very helpful.
Durability:
This is a tank. Perfect for gigs...noting fancy. I've banged it around carrying it places. And it's fine. The only complaint is that the back is wide open. Even though its easy to put the outlet plug in their for carrying...it's a little unnerving seeing that speaker being vulneable from the back.
