This VHS video is a great look at two masters of the pedal steel guitar. Lloyd Green is resposible for the E9 steel guitar sound we love today. Tommy White is one of the younger masters of the instrument and can normally be heard as the staff steel player at the Grand Ol' Opry.

The playing is relaxed and was filmed live at the 2001 meeting of the North Tennessee Steel Guitar Association meeting. There are 11 songs to include: Cold Cold Heart, Roly Poly, Pick Me Up on Your Way Down, Pan Handle Rag, Farewell Party and more.

While there aren't any close shots of their hands, (you can see just about what fret they are playing at) there is a clear view of the pedals and feet which to me is a bigger help in figuring out steel licks.

I would recommend anyone that likes steel guitar and "real" country music get a copy of this video!
