This album to me returns U2 to its "Unforgetable Fire/Joshua Tree" era. The music is very innovative yet remaining with the classic signature "Edge/Bono" sound - updated yet not imitated. From the opening hard edged cut "Vertigo" to the classic Edge sound "Miracle Drug" and "Blinding Light", Bono and the boys swing through an genuine opus good music. It is a real treat to hear U2 bring back the classic sound that I missed so with there previous releases. The songs are fresh and new and will bring any listener that is not familiar with this quartet from Ireland to keep wanting more!
